Windows NT file sharing
Yes, I know Windows NT is archaic, unsupported, insecure, inferior to Windows
XP, etc. However, one of my users has a Windows NT 4.0 sp6 Workstation
system, and I'm stuck with it. A security scan said file sharing was enabled
on her system. The only share I can find is IPC$. How can I disable (or kill)
file sharing on a Windows NT system, either for IPC$ or for the entire system?
thanks

You could stop + disable the Server service.
Of course, test to make sure you don't need it for anything =)

Disable or remove the Server service. A quick Google would have found
this for you, as well as a lot of other NT4 securtiy info.
