I am the administator to my pc, yet when I try to unzip a driver download I
have saved to my desktop. I get the message that I need administrator status
to access the file. How do I: 1. change my pc so that I have no Administor,
2.Make it that I can access my zip file.

What operating system are you using? If using Windows 2000 or XP there is a
built in administrator account that can not be deleted even if you want to.
Verify that you are indeed logged on as an administrator. The command " net
localgroup administrator" will show membership of the administrators group.
Try to download the file to a different folder to see if it helps. Maybe you
or a "protection" program modified the permissions to your user desktop
folder under documents and settings\username. If you are an administrator
you can change permissions on any folder on the computer if you need more
permissions. --- Steve
