Ad Aware SE
Today I installed Ad Aware SE in a friend's computer; upgraded it, then ran
Scan. It found 200+ items, but never finished, finally locked up and we
were out of time as far as running it again. I can't be there soon to try
it again. Any advice I can send on to him for when he tries it by himself?

Have him use some other AntiSpyware applications before running AdAware SE
again.
Spybot Search and Destroy would be a good one.

Forget Adware Away as it listed as a rogue adware product producing false
negatives. Only ever use SpyBot S & D. You can download it from here:

Wake up, Crouchie. No one mentioned 'Adware Away' in this thread (nor in
any other thread in which you've posted this same information).
