two adware

Hi everyone!
I just run all my three Ad-Aware programs: Ad-Aware SE, SpyBot S&D and
Microsoft own AntiSpyware. Only SpyBot found these two ad-awares. MiniBug
(one entry) and BackWeb Lite (64 entries). But it couldn't clean all those
entries, because of my computer was on. I shut down my pc and run it again,
but this time my pc collapsed. I saw that there is that MiniBug program in
C:\Program Files\AWS\Weather, but I didn't find any marks in register. Can I
just delete that path?
My operating system is Windows XP Professional with sp2 and plus all
updates. I have F-Secure Internet Security 2005. What should I do with these
BackWeb Lite entries??
Please, help me someone.
Thank you forward

Hi

First of all: Uninstall Adware Away & MS AntiSpyware & just keep SpyBot S &
D

New definitions are out at 9pm BST today

To Clean Minibug, see here:

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/adware.minibug.html

Regarding your other problem, backweb lite: When you scan using SpyBot, you
are able to right-click & export the list as a text file, save it to Desktop
& then you can go through the list yourself. It will take you a while to get
through the list, but its worth it. Otherwise, boot into
safe mode

If you read what Geri wrote in the following article then you will know what
you are up against if deleting this bug manually:

http://www.windowsbbs.com/showthread.php?t=44321

I hope this helps

Before you let Spybot or any other Spyware scanner remove Backweb Lite you
should really go to this site from F-Secure and read about the Backweb
Client they are using for their automatic updates. It can be a false
positive...I am quite sure it is!

Adware Away produce false negatives. This is a fact & therefore you
shouldn't use it. Its not bad advice

Adware Away is also listed as 'rogue' (szelma) Spyware removal on the
Internet too

Secondly, Microsoft AntiSpyware is a beta program full of bugs. I had it
installed & it didn't pick up half the stuff that SpyBot does. Another thing
the Microsoft program did is delete a few hundred of my programming links
from My Favourites folder.

So, Maciej my advice is not incorrect

I've just had to use AdwareAway to shift the about::blank trjoan -
didn't think S&D took that one out? Would make my life easier if it did...

(BA in what? btw)

The idiocy I see is that no one mentioned Adware Away. They mentioned
Ad-Aware.

No anti-spyware program catches everything. None. It is not possible.
