I have noticed some pretty disgusting pictures in my kids temp internet
files. How do I block these? I have the filter on internet Explorer to block
these web sites but how do stop the cookies?

Uh, those arn't cookies, cookies are text files.

I'd hazard a guess that your filter is pretty ineffective.

Those are picture files that have been accessed [willingly or unwillingly]
and have been stored on the computer. You may want to look at programs like
Net Nanny or Cyber Sitter, though depending on the operating system and the
skills of your child he may be able to work around them. --- Steve

And you might want to change the rules about what your kids do on the
comptuer and when they do it. The best way to prevent inappropriate
content (either accidental or deliberate) is to put the computer in the
living room and tell your kids to tell you if "something they don't
like" appears on the screen. That way if its accidental you can use it
as a learning tool to help them get better at Interneting and to deal
with this kind of stuff; if it's deliberate I don't know of ANY kid
who'd surf porn where their parents can see it!

My how old fahsioned. When my kids were growing up they though I was a
terrible dad. They could not have a TV, computer, phone, or bomb making
equipment in their designated bedrooms. They were even reminded that there
rooms belonged to ME and could be subject to cleaning or search and destroy
at any time. I would probably be arrested for doing the same today and put
on Oprah to be gasped at and ridiculed. --- Steve
