Hi,

I have a serious problem. My computer crashed a while back becuase of
severely low disk space. So I got and extra drive and moved all the big stuff
over to it. It was fine until now, I'm getting those "Low disk space"
messeges again. I always cleaned up the old files, temp files, all that. But
it's still not satisfied. I actually think this computer is lying to me
because last week, I had about 3GB left on the main drive, today I have
13MB!!! Not much has changed between that time, in fact yesterday I moved all
my picutures to my new drive, yet before I did that, I had more space than I
did afterwards...What's going on?? I'm thinking there's gotta be something
fishy going on here...Please help!!

Do you have any Antivirus protection? If so, have you done a full scan of
the computer with it?

If not you should really get some protection ASAP, try running an online
virus scan first and see if that shows anything up.
TrendMicro have a good online scanner available FREE here:

Let us know how the scan goes.

If you don't know whether or not your system is infected with malware, you
are not using antivirus and other protective software, and your system is
likely infected. However, those infections may have nothing at all to do
with the 'low disk space' problem. You should try a Microsoft newsgroup
that deals with your specific operating system. You will need to provide
more information:
Operating System and update level
File System
Hard drive size.

You can also help yourself by examining the various directories to find any
that are unreasonably large.
