This is an Adware trojan and it sprays files all over your hard disk.
You are right that "xtesv.exe" is not currently listed as one associated
with this so you might have a new variant.

If you still have the file you suspect try sending it to
http://www.virustotal.com

This will test it against the latest versions of a bunch of AV applications.

Let us know how you get on

Do you mean the McAfee Command Line Scanner (CLS) ?

McAfee has no "clean program", however I distribute a front-end to the McAfee CLS via a self
extracting EXE file called Clean.exe.

Or did you mean the "FxIstbar.exe" tool which you can get from the Symantec
site?

I tried the Symantec FxIstar.exe several times and it wouldn't do the trick.

What have you tried in means of getting rid of it? I was pretty successful
getting rid of a few nasty and stubborn spyware/adware using of two
antispyware(Microsoft's antispyware and Lavasoft's adaware) and a antivirus
(Kaspersky A.V). I ran them and managed to get rid of them in SafeMode.
Well, that's what I did anyways. Good luck!
