I have windows XP on my home computer and I have recently have been having a
lot of problems. I have a McAfee anti-virus software, Spyware Doctor and
Zone Alarm continually running in the background. Still my computer keeps
getting infected with a trojan virus, running slow, or the mouse starts
acting wierd. Yesterday I ran Trend Micro's new beta version of Housecall
that also checks for vunerability. This found a vunerablity that needed an
office update, 2 vunerabilities related to Microsoft SQL Server 2000, and the
last vunerability related to how JPEG image files might be processed. I had
my computer checked by MS webpage updates for office and for my operating
system and this fixed the first vunerability in Office, but not another
vunerabilities. I am confused as to why Housecalls would be able to find the
SQL Server problems when I am just running XP. I ran a startup tracker
program and it showed one of my PC's startup command is "C:\Program
Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$LUX\Binn\sqlservr.exe" -sLUX. Now I am
paranoid that I have someone hacking into my computer or something. Should I
be worried about these vunerabilities and SQL server issues?
