When I boot up one of the first things that comes on is a dos program called
Urllstch.exe. I take this is an Url list checking program. It just sits
there taking up space on the desktop in a dos window. Unless I close it the
computer is so lazy that I cannot even stop a screensaver should it come on.
This program is found in C:\Program files\Norton Internet Security. I have
all of the Norton SystemWorks/Internet Security configured, except that
Parental Control is turned off.

My only way to stop this from happening is to use MSconfig to uncheck this
urllstch.exe. What will be the significance of doing this. The Help in
Norton Internet Security is of No Help in this, and nothing is said about it
in their rather skimpy user's guide.

This isn't a Windows problem. You should contact Symantec for help with
their product:
