I did a ghost image of my C-Drive as a FAT32 using Nortons Ghost.
I have since converted the C-Drive to NTFS.
Will this ghost image still work OK if I need to restore my operating system
(Windows XP Pro)?

Thanks
Kate

The image will work, but it'll restore your partition to a FAT32 partition.

You might want to consider making a new image, so that it will be of the
NTFS file system.

Technically it should restore the drive back as a FAT32 partition but if i
were you i'd do another image of the drive now it has been converted.
I recently decided to increase the size of my xp partition by an extra 10GB.
The other day had cause to reimage the drive back and, would you credit it,
ghost refused to reimage the drive. I finally got round it by deleting the
partition (obviously this wan't my C: drive as my system is a quad boot - XP
Home, XP Pro, Server 2003 & Longhorn - so this wasn't patricularly a
problem) and then reimaging back to unallocated space. As soon as i got the
image back i immediately resized the partition agian by 10GB and then
created a new image.
Even the simplest of things can go wrong, so it is always to be safe than
sorry!
