MSXML3/r.dll zero bytes?

I'm using WSUS and a Windows 2000 Server was doing well. Then all of a
sudden I noticed an error 0x80244001 in the log. Troubleshooting, I was
going to re-register the DLL's and noticed that both msxml3.dll and
msxml3r.dll both has a size of zero bytes. This happened on two servers. I
copied these files from a working Windows 2000 server and was able to get
past the error. Any idea what is happening here?

Hi,

I would think you have installed Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4:

Yep. That seems to be the cause. Nice!

Thanks for the reply.
