I cannot do any windows or office updates and I keep getting this error

Neither can I.Ther were several updates which I was able to download last
evening,so I feel confident that I have the last updates but after this
seeming system-wide problem,I expect a major update.Sorry,but that is all the
help I can be.Keep trying

Close all IE windows, now try re-registering the MSXML3.dll
1. Click Start.
2. Select Run.
3. In the Run dialog box, type: regsvr32 MSXML3.dll.
4. Click OK.

Now try WU again.
