I have a network that is 1/2 updating and 1/2 that isn't updating. I started
out as only my 2003 ent and Std servers were having a problem now it seems to
be more than just the servers. I have one machine that isn't a member of my
domain that was still pointed to my PDC for DNS. When it was pointed there
it wouldn't work, however I pointed it back to my other office that I have
external DNS servers setup and it then got the updates. I have not had any
configuration changes with the DNS on the DC nor have I messed with the
firewall, however there seems to be something that needs to be flushed or
cleared. I have checked all TIDS to see if there is something I'm missing.
I have MS Tech support involved and they can't figure it out as of yet.
Anyone else in the last two weeks all of a sudden have problems with updates?
If I didn't make it clear the updates were working just fine 2 weeks ago, I
noticed the AutoUpdates missed some so I did a manual push on all of my
servers, I don't know if it's an update that could have broken the link to MS
Updates or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
