Hi

I have WSUS installed and i have applied the policy but only the wsus server
is showing n computers in the admin console. all servers windows 2000, some
windows 2003, what i would like to know is what services need to be running
for a client to work, my servers have been locked down and services disabled.
Some servers can ping the wsus server but when try browse to the
http://wsusServer comes up with page cannot be displayed others it works.
these servers are in a cell behind a firwewall and have no internet
connection. i had to build a wsus server and export all the data to this wsus
server.95 % of the servers dont have the windows update agent. where can i
get this agent? although i do have a windows 2003 servers which have this
agent but are not working.... i have checked all the servers i the registry
and the policy has been applied.

Perhaps try the WSUS Newsgroup

news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services
(OE client)
or
http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windows.server.update_services
(web client)
