MS Update Telling Me That I am not Running MS OS??

This is a 1st for me. Anyone have any ideas? Below is a web page that I am
redirected to after going to the Win Update page. Have I had not enough
coffee that I don't realize that I am not running Win XP Pro SP2 OS on my
machine? But really, I am running MS WinXP Pro. Is this a highjacking or
worm that I am not seeing? I have been attacked and infected a few times in
the last couple of months, I was hoping it was all gone. Thanks in advance.

URL: http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/thanks.asp?

Page displays the following message:

"Windows Update is the online extension of Windows that helps you get the
most out of your computer.

You must be running a Microsoft Windows operating system in order to use
Windows Update."

Follow this:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/
Look for "When attempting to access the Windows Update Web site you receive
the following message: Thank You -- you must be running a Microsoft windows
operating system in order to use windows update"

Otherwise follow the Windows Update Checklist:

Thanks JJ. I tried the 1st link, but in my Registry My key ends like this:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\User Agent\UA Tokens

Instead of:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet
Settings\User Agent\Post Platform

I didn't do anything there. I will try the next link you suggested.

Thank you,

Tim
