Help!!! I hate this thing....this is the error I get when I try to up date XP.
Anyone have an answer?

Check that "Cryptographic Services" service is set to automatic and is started.

Start, run, services.msc, OK.

how do you check Cryptographic Services???

im having same problem - i installed my xp home ed yday and now it wont
allow me to acces windows update - i get the following code 0x8024D00C
