Can anyone tell me how to restore my recent documents function in the
start"button?
Normally, when you click "start""-"Documents"", you can see 10-20 recent
documents you had opened recently. however, in my case I can only see the
documents which I saved on 1 day session only. (i.e. I can only see the
documents since my power up till I shut down. If I shutdown the PC and
re-boot again, I couldn't see any recent documents at all.
P'se advise how I can restore this function back. Many thanks.

Delete the ClearRecentDocsOnExit registry value in the following registry
key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows\ CurrentVersion \
Policies \ Explorer
ClearRecentDocsOnExit:
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/2000/server/reskit/en-us/Default.asp?url=/resources/documentation/Windows/2000/server/reskit/en-us/regentry/93171.asp
Alternately, if you have Tweak UI for Windows XP installed, launch the
program and uncheck the option Clear document history on exit in the
Explorer section.
