Uninstalling SP2

I am trying to uninstall SP2, I have tried from both the add/remove program
and the revocery console using spuninst.exe and both give me the same error
message that states. Can not find specified file. How can I either remove it
and reinstall or just reinstall? I am unable to do system restore because it
removed all my restore points.

Thank you in advance!

If the files are not available, SP-2 can not be uninstalled.

Follow Step 1 on this link and order SP-2 on CD or download it:
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/spackins.htm
Then you can manually install SP-2.

Do you get any clues about which file is missing?

I think that I would try an SFC /scannow in case it is one of the protected files.

Alternatively, instead of asking questions about your self-prescribed solution
to some unstated symptoms, why not report your symptoms and see if someone
can give you another idea for working around them?
