Hi,

Microsoft Update (MU) and Windows Update v6 (WU) were released on June 6
with an announcement at the TechEd conference.

Microsoft Update

a.. Microsoft Update is a new service offered at no charge that gives
customers everything they get through Windows Update (WU), plus high
priority updates for Office and other Microsoft applications. It's a
one-stop destination for updates that help keep your computer more secure,
up-to-date, and performing at its best. MU includes the Automatic Updates
functionality already found in WU so users can choose to automatically
install high-priority updates.

a.. MU provides a unified infrastructure for Windows Server Update
Services, Systems Management Server and the Microsoft Baseline Security
Analyzer 2.0 to deliver updates for Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Server
2003, Office (XP+), Exchange (2000+) and SQL (2000+ w/SP4). MU ensures
consistency across these Microsoft's software management solutions.

Windows Update v6

a.. Microsoft also released a new version of Windows Update, v6.0 (WUv6),
and will support the existing version of Office Update to ensure that
customers choosing to continue using those services can keep their computers
more secure and up-to-date. WUv6 adds minor usability improvements that make
it easier to find updates and will eventually support Windows Genuine
Advantage. Upgrading current WU users to v6 is automatic and users will not
need to take any action.
Thank you

Eric

However on my computers javascript dont work, even with java scripting
enabled in IE for the trusted zone and with the WU website included in the
trusted zone...
Clicking on any of the links to 'find out more' does nothing except show the
javascript command on the status bar at the bottome of the screen.
same with trying to select/deselect individual updates to install...

Downloading and installing the updates themselves work, but I always prefer
to have a look at what they do and download the updates as well to burn to
cd for future use...
