Hi Gang,

I am having a dickens of a problem that is just about ready to irk my
normally congeaniel self. I flawlessly installed ( thank-you for your
applause ) Office XP Professional two weeks ago. Then I ( please may the
Gods of computers forgive me) went to Microsoft Office Update to install the
latest bugs for my computer.

Well, the very first hint of a problem was when the install tried to go
forward, a message popped up asking for the Office XP cd. I delicately place
the round durable plastic disk in the cd rom, and smashed the enter button as
requested.

A new message told me that I needed to put in the other office xp
professional disk. ?

Then it continually popped up that message box that asks if I want to use
the docs and settings/ ...../ temp file. It wouldn't take no for an answer! I
wanted to ring its scrawny little fonts to death!

Could anybody please come to my rescue?
..................please?...........pretty please with sucrose on the upper
portions?

I wonder if your pc has more than one CD or DVD drives. The easiest thing to
do is use Browse button-option to point it to your CD drive (assuming your
MS Office is on a CD).

This issue really belongs in a MS Office group. This group, Windows Update,
is for issues on Windows Update website.
