For Windows XP - A message is telling me that I have too many programs listed
and that I should unpin them or use small icons. Could you please tell me
how to do that and also, where do the unpinned programs go. Thanks

Lark, your programs stay put. You are just unpinning the Shortcuts to
the Programs. Just rt click on Start and select
Properties>Start Menu>Customize. From there you can choose small icons
increase the number of programs or clear
the list.
