Since early Dec., I cannot get windows update to run at all. When I click on
it, it just hangs with a blank web screen and never goes any further than
that. I have tried disabling the firewall and the virus scan programs,
thinking they were blocking it, but it makes no difference. Possibly also
related is with a particular extranet site I have to use for work (or was
using until recently when it no longer would allow me to access it), I get a
runtime error message and I think it is all related somehow to not getting
windows updates. When this particular extranet site was added to my
computer, it was strongly recommended that I download the SP2, but that is
when I discovered that I couldn't get windows update to work. Any ideas how
I can get the update to work again?
