i keep getting error 0x80244001 when trying to search for updates. can
anyone tell me how i can fix it? thanx

Try reregistering the MSXML3 file:....
Start|Run
type
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
click OK (or hit Enter)
reboot and see if that helps.
