I have tried to download w2000 serpack 4 several times. The summary shows
the download to be successful but it is not installing on my computer. Any
suggestions? I never get to the install screen and my os still shows as win
2000.

Q 1: Did you do an on-line attempt at Windows Update site? or did you do a full download of Win2K SP4?
Q 2: Did you disable your Antivirus program before stating the process for this (or any) service pack? Disabling AV is a must-do.
Look for file WindowsUpdate.log in your C:\Windows folder ( or it may be C:\WINNT on your system).
Use Notepad or Wordpad to open & view contents. Scan down to the very bottom. Look at the set of lines for that last session-date.
Do you see lines with "Error" and some text with "fail".
Copy the set of lines for that last session-date & paste back into a reply in here.
