Does anyone use the personal web server which comes with the Windows 98 SE
CD-ROM? I have installed it just recently, but the installation was not
successful. I was, however, still able to use the program, but with no
knowledge as to how it works! I am not using a network (intranet), and
thought that maybe I need to be on a network to make this thing work. It
tells me to drop files on the publish icon, but I can't! Any advice as to
how this whole thing works would be great!
By the way, some of the reasons that the installation was not successful was
because of error messages I was getting while installing. One of the
messages was "An unknown error has occurred while trying to update the
registry". When I click "Finish" to finish the installation, I get another
message saying "Installation was unsuccessful", then it asks me to restart my
computer to complete the installation. But as I said, I am not as worried
about the error messages as I am knowing how to use the personal web server!
Thanks in advance!
