KB890830 update

From May 10th through to May 20th 2005, I have had 14 automatic updates of
"Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool KB890830".

Whats happening??? Will someone please help me. What am I doing wrong or
what should I be doing?

I am using Windows XP with SP2, IE6

I have had about the same number. it fails to install each time. Not sure
what's up. Not much help I know, but you are not alone.

According to Microsoft, the tool runs in silent mode when you
obtain it via the windows update function. I.e., it runs without
a user interface. If nothing is found, you see nothing.
You can download the tool from the following Microsoft site and
run it yourself. You will then see the user interface. The tool
is updated on the second Tuesday of every month.

Dear Bill,
I expect you've had a response by now.But if not ,don't worry you are not
doing anything wrong.My windows update history contains nothing
else.Fortunately it does not occupy any memory.
