Everytime that I try to run Windows Update, IE would close for no apparent
reason.

Internet Explorer will work fine on any other website, but Start > Programs
> Windows Update, Internet Explorer > Tools > Windows Update, and
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsupdate/ all cause Internet Explorer to close
after I see the URL redirection for about 3 seconds. I end up with a white
page in the browser before it closes because it's not finished loading.

For some reason, http://www.microsoft.com/technet/ even closed. Manually
navigating to either doesn't do anything either since they all redirect to
the same URL.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?
