I also got a lot of error after I installed Windows Installer 3.1(v2),
I got bluescreen error when I startup Windows and several programs couldn't
startup normally,
"STOP c000021a, systemprocess WindowsSubSystem 0x00000006"

I uninstalled it and installed it again in failsafe mode and I think it
works now.
