I just purchased a new computer that came with Windows Xp pre-loaded. Should
I have the disc for Windows Xp as well.

Also I am trying to load Microsoft Office and i receive a message about
Windows Xp Service Pack 2 needs to be installed. When i go searching and
find where to install it from i download it but when i look at installed
programs the Service Pack 2 is displayed but has no size.

Any ideas with either of these.

Glenda, if you just purchased your Computer chances are that SP2 was
pre-loaded along with WinXP. You should have
a way to recover from any major crash and so either you have Recover
disks or a hidden partition on your hard drive that
has a recover solution. If you looked in Add/Remove Programs and see
Service Pack 2 there then it's installed. You could
also check System Info. Start>All Programs>Accessories>System
Tools>System Info-System Summary. Look in rt pane
first few lines will mention it in Version. MS Office should load Ok.
What version of Office is it?
