Having updated to SP2, with various security & other updates I now can
navigate around web sites & pages but if I try to Log on somewhere (message
bottom left of window that says shortcut to javascript etc) I can enter my
details and password etc then hit the enter or log on button, absoloutly
nothing happens, it just goes nowhere, as a novice, searched and searched I
found, apparently one of the security updates now stops you doing this, how
on earth do I log on to sites now, CAN ANYONE HELP

Mike, when in Internet Explorer>select Tools>Internet
Options>Advanced>check Java. It should be right above Multimedia. If not
there do a google search for Sun Java. You can then download and install it.
