The winupd.dll file is associated with spyware, it is not a legitimate
Windows Update file. Based on the error message that you're receiving, I'd
say that the file has been deleted, but the registry still retains the
value(s) for loading and running the file at startup. D/load, install and
run Ad-Aware SE Personal (it's free for personal use):
Ad-Aware should assist in ridding the registry of the value(s) associated
with winupd.dll and will assist you in getting rid of other spyware that may
be present on your computer.
