Hi,

I have 160 names under Shared Contacts. I created 5 Groups. For reasons I
don't understand, when I moved the shared contacts to the Groups some were
copied (names were in the group and in shared contacts) and some were moved
(remained only in the group).

Of the 5 groups 2 spontaneously disappeared. This has happened twice.
Before I go get the backup again, does anyone understand the problem? Is
there a limit? Are there issues with Address Book Groups?

I'm not sure if this is your problem, but:

If your Address book has more than 999 entries, it may appear blank.

If your Contacts Pane has more that 100 entries, it may appear blank.

Hi Koshka,

This may be caused by the way the entries were created. Group entries can be
created by editing a group's properties. It is a quick way to create a group
entry, but it is not a full address book entry that can be moved to another
location or exported. Group entries can also be created by using entries
from the Main Contacts folder. These remain full address book entries.

The icons for these two types of group entries are slightly different in
color and behave differently in a group properties sheet. The properties for
one will open another properties sheet for an address book entry. An entry
created in the group's property sheet will have a slightly darker blue icon
and will show only a name and address at the bottom of group property sheet.
