I am having all sorts of issues with my desktop
when i try to add a shortcut or new folder (by right click on desktop
and select new) then i get a message to say path is not valid....
does anyone have any ideas what could be causing thei?... seems as if
its checking in wrong location

Tony,

Not sure what's causing this. When did this happen? Have you tried a System
Restore rollback?

Verify the User Shell Folders path for Desktop and Common Desktop
