When I tried to run OE6 I received an error indicating "...MSOE.DLL could
not be initialized." I've followed a lot of advice and I'm at the point
where I've deleted "identities" along with the WAB and OE and IE entries
from the registry. When I tried a reinstall from the ie6setup.exe file,
downloaded into the Windows Update Setup Files folder, I received the error
that I already had a more recent version of "IE" and therefore the process
could not continue.
As I've said I've removed the appropriate entries from the registry as well
as using the Add/Remove function. I noticed that the OE folder in the
Program Files folder cannot be deleted because it is "in use".
I'd like to know how delete this folder, and if necessary, the Internet
Explorer folder.
Thanks,
Greg
