6 not downloaded

I'm using OE6 to read newsgroups. When I open a couple of the groups
that I'm subscripted to, it downloads almost all the messages but a
few are not downloaded. Right now it is saying "0 message(s), 0
unread, 6 not downloaded." Any ideas why?
I have removed the check in Tools+Options, Read, Get 300 headers at a
time. So I should be getting all the available messages. I have gone
into the Properties of the offending newsgroup and click Reset on the
Local File tab and then redownloaded everything. 6 remain unread. If
I right-click on the newsgroup and click Catch-up the 6 will still
remain unread.
It doesn't seem to really hurt anything. It is just annoying.

That's an error on the part of the newsgroup server. Sooner or later they'll
sync the count on there end.

I suspected that it was something like that.

For some reaseon OE misses some headers. OE does not give them a second
chance to download.
Disable 'get next xxx headers' (you have done this).
Than try this.
1. Go offline (file -> select work offline).
2. Select anything, but not the newsgroup with 'xxx not downloaded'.
3. Go online (file -> deselect work offline).
4. Select the newsgroup with 'xxx not downloaded', OE will now download the
missing headers.
Works fine here, this way I can get almost all missed headers.
