my outlook express can't open and read in mail inside. Is there any free
software and extract the mail from the dbx?

I don't know of any free tool that will do what you're looking for. If you
don't mind paying a modest license fee, you might like to try Aid4Mail
Standard, which can read OE .dbx files and extract messages to a variety of
formats. You'll find more information about Aid4Mail and a download link on

You may not need the 3rd party programs, or they may not help, as the
messages may not even be in the file any longer. See
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#4 for message recovery techniques, and do points
2, 3 and 6 there to help prevent message loss in the future.
