Trouble importing .csv files to OE6
When I upgraded to XP from ME, I dutifully did the export to a disk. Upon
importing; however, I found that I was missing some messages. Back in the
ME days, I created a folder named "New Inbox" and directed my friend's
messages there via "message rules". The original inbox was for all those
not directed to the "New Inbox" (I know there is probably a better way to
do that, but that is for another post). When I imported, I got all the
folders listed and messages within with the exception of the original (from
ME days) Inbox. I have tried to import again (got multiple duplicate
messages), tried copying just the Inbox.dbx file over to the correct
location (didn't work), tried renaming the original Inbox file and
importing again (no good), tried to delete the new (XP days) Inbox and
re-importing (just created and new and empty Inbox). I have the data
backed up on disk, I know the messages are still there waiting. I'm just
missing the trick to get them back in the proper slot. Can anyone help me
out? A mega-thanks in advance.

Hi Bart,
For simplicity, you could try moving the Inbox.dbx file from Win ME and a
copy of Folders.dbx to a new Desktop folder. Then try selecting only the
Inbox folder when importing from the folder. First move any messages that
might be in the current Inbox if you don't want to mix messages.
Be sure the Inbox.dbx file or Folders.dbx (copied from the CD) is not
read-only.
