Something strange has started to happen today. I can post messages to
newsgroups with OE ( version 6.00.2800.1106 ) with no problems (hence you
can all see this!) however, I cannot reply to any threads. If I click on
'reply group' in OE, I get the following dialog box appearing:

http://freespace.virgin.net/audio.files/post.gif

As you can see, the three buttons on it are blank. I have tried clicking on
each individual button, but this does nothing. I can tick the box in the
dialog window, but again this achieves nothing.

I can't think of anything I might have done that has caused this problem.
OE seems to work fine in every other aspect, such as sending & receiving
emails, and posting to Usenet.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling OE from the Windows add/remove
programs section but with no change.

Any help would be appreciated, but don't expect me to reply until my problem
is fixed! Question via email would probably be best :)

Mike.

Ahh... Maybe I should read before posting! I saw the answer to a similar
problem below (tick box then press enter) and this has fixed the problem.
Any ideas which particular Windows update is causing this problem?

Mike.

finally got this to work -

a note tho - being a mouse addict i was clicking the check box and then
'clicking the buttons' but this does not work - you have to check the box
and 'PRESS RETURN' for it to work - QED

beeping...MS "£$%^&%

i think it was the msn messenger update that caused mine.

or the virus update from ms.

i am running win2k by the way
