Cannot create new identity

When I attempt to create a new identity, OE closes down. Anybody out there
help? I also cannot find Task manager to end the msinm.exe process

Ctrl/Alt/Del brings up the task manager.

How far do you get in setting up the identity? Do you get any error message?
