Remove Recent Programs

I noticed in the last few days that I have lost the ability to right-click to
remove individual recent programs in my Start menu. This isn't a big deal
because I just use this to fine-tune what programs are readily available to
me, but seems strange. I have no idea what would have caused this
functionality to go away.
I know I can use the Properties to clear the entire list, but that defeats
the purpose of deleting single shortcuts to customize my menu.
I don't know if I may have accidentally turned this off or some app may have
impacted it or what.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

If you can't right click the whole Start menu then you disabled Drag n Drop in Start's Properties.

David,
That was exactly the problem. I don't remember changing it, but apparently
I did.
Thank you very much!
