It seems I can't open ANY url or link without getting this message:
"Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
We are sorry for the inconvenience."
Does anybody know what causes this and can tell me what to do to fix it??
Thanks,
Doug

Would you believe I clicked on the first one below, got the error message
and got kicked off!
I'm going to enter them one at a time directly into the IE address box and
try to get there that way.
I'll let you know..................

Got as far as running the Ad-Aware. Found lots of cookies and a few
Registry entries and a couple of Favorites.
I told it to get rid of all of them.
then I ran it again - no errors.
ANOTHER SUBJECT:
In Outlook Express, when I try to print in InBox e-mail I get this error:
"MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in
module OLEAUT32.DLL at 0167:653aac21."
ANY IDEAS ON THAT ONE???
Thanks again,
Doug

Hi Doug,
This looks like a difficult question to answer. The Microsoft KB gives many
results when searching for "OLEAUT32.DLL" or "OLEAUT32.DLL printing." The
cause may be related to the operating system or an installed program. There
was no result when confining the search to Outlook Express.
Here's one for Outlook 98 and Win 98:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;814439
You might go to (Microsoft KB search all):
http://support.microsoft.com/search/?adv=1&spid=global
and search to see if anything matches your situation.

You bet!
1. Try (re)installing Windows 5.6 Scripting Engine for your Windows version:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
2. The headers from your post tell me you're running very outdated and much
less-secure versions of OE, IE and Windows. Please check in at Windows
Update ASAP to install the Critical Updates your machine needs. As a bonus,
one of 'em might solve your problem.
Tip: Install SpywareBlaster, seek available updates & enable all protection.
Updates are released every week or two.
Tip: MS Windows AntiSpyware (beta).
