All of a sudden when I click on links in I.E. 6 the whole window closes.
Have done the following:
in safe mode have run
Panda Anti-virus
cwshredder
adaware se
spybot search and destroy
counterspy
all programs are up to date and got no errors after running programs.
Any help appreciated.

Try this: GoTo Contol Panel > Folder Options Icons > click File Type tab >

Repeat only the above last steps from URL: CallTo Protocol
URL: File Transfer
Protocol
URL: Gopher Protocol
URL: HyperText Transfer
Protocol
URL: HyperText Transfer
Protocol with Privacy

Click 1 by 1 the above file types > click Advanced button > click Edit button > and
check to verify there is no entry or blank entry in DDE Application Not Running > OK >
OK.

Repeat next file types and when all checked and verified only blank entry > click
Apply button > click Close button to exit.

Go ahead check your IE and OE links again.

Hopes this works as it always worked for me ---- Rino
