I am running winxp-pro and OE6. All of a sudden, the envelope that alerts me
to a new message doesnt appear any longer. Any advice?

Right click on the Taskbar | Properties | Customize. Find the You have new
e-mail envelope and make sure the behavior is set to Always Show.
