Thanks. I did that and Outlook Express does not read any messages. What
else can I do?

Does the size of the dbx file indicate there are messages in it? If so, you
can try:

DBXtract: {Cost: $5.00}
http://www.oehelp.com/DBXtract/Default.aspx

DBXpress: {$24.95, but much faster for large files}
http://www.oehelp.com/DBXpress/Default.aspx

Yes, the size of the files indicate that there are messages. I tried
importing from an older backup and it went smoothly. Then I copied the .dbx
file in the OE folder to the backup folder and the importing process did not
start and showed an error of the .dbx file. I think the .dbx file is
corrupted.

Did you remove the Read Only attribute before you tried to import? Also, if
Folders.dbx was not included in the backup, the file will not import. If you
still have trouble, rename the older dbx file and create a folder in OE with
the same name and follow the original instructions I gave.
