Opening .msg attachments in Outlook Express

I have a user that needs to open an attachment that has a .msg extension in
Outlook Express. It does make reference to it being an Outlook file, but he
does not have MS Office on his pc. I have looked in the knowledge base and
haven't found any way to open this file. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Jody

Your best bet, without having Outlook installed, is to contact the sender
and ask them to resend the message via email, using Plain text to format the
info contained in the MSG file. I'm not aware of any utility (other than
having a copy of Eudora installed) that can read a MSG file and I've not
used Eudora to verify that it can read Outlook's MSG files, although it does
use the same file extension for its messages.

I've looked at msg files, and I think they are some sort of binary compacted
messages that can't be read even with a binary editor.
