[Tom Gardner]

When I save a picture from the web or from a NG, It used to save as the
right file name and format. Now I only get: "Untitled.bmp" as an option
with no way to change the extension but I can change the filename. What did
I break and how do I fix it?

Clear the Temporary Internet Files. In IE>Tools>Internet Options>
Delete Files button. And check the box to Delete Offline content.
