Hi!

Is there a way to keep old newsgroup messages ?
For example if I select newsgroup which I last visited month ago message list is reset and new messages appear.

So is there a way to leave old messages I read month ago ?

OE only mirrors what is on the server. If you want to save them permanently,
you would have to save them to your Hard Drive.

As well as what Bruce said.
Create a folder under Local Folders for all NG messages that you want to
keep. Drag and drop each message to copy it to this folder.

Besides what other have said, you can retrieve messages using the
above page. Just keep a list by date, subject and group so you know
where to look.

You can right click, Copy to folder,...
With this method, the folder list doesn't need to be open.

Is OE7 going to be able to keep old messages...something like 40tude dialog or Thunderbird?

We have been asking for this since 1997 (OE4). I don't know if it will ever

That is really sad even for Microsoft... It appears I will have to look at Thunderbird (like most people I know) :-)

I've heard Thunderbird is a nice program, but I like HTML messaging, and its
my understanding that Thunderbird doesn't support such.
