email reply listing the latest pages

Is it possible to create a message rule in BellSouth Pop3 Outlook Express
for an automatic reply? If there was an email link on my websites where
folks could click and they would receive an automatic email reply listing
the latest pages / photos , etc.?

You have a sample or what?

Hi Gary,

Haven't done this myself, but there is a Microsoft KB article that explains
how to do this with a message rule. Instead of doing this for all messages
try filtering using the subject line or (possibly) a specified account.

Gary,
Wouldn't be easier that you put the link on the website itself? This way you
would not have to have, OE handle all this email traffic?

But if this notification is for just family and friends to say see baby
pictures, family news, etc.... You can create something like this.

1. Create a text file with the link in Notepad. Save it in a folder that you
create, such as C:\Mail. Name it LatestNews.txt. If you change or add links
to these web pages, you will need to update and save the changes to the
*.TXT file you created. So the path of the file will be:

C:\Mail\LatestNews.txt

2. Now in OE> Message Rules> Mail tab> New button> create the following
rule:
a. When Messages arrives and the From: line contains friend or family
email address.
b. Reply with Message. Click on the word "Message"> Browse to & Click on
C:\Mail\LatestNews.txt> Press Open button.
c. Stop Processing More Rules.
d. Move this message rule to the top of the message rules list.

Now this will only work when you have OE opened and connected to the
Internet. It will not automatically do that. Most ISP/Mail services have an
automated "Vacation" Reply that you can place the web link into the reply
section. But be advise anyone who sends you email to that acct, including
the SPAMMERS will get the link. I would not recommend you do that. Your
ISP/Mail service might not like all that traffic, through their outgoing
mail servers.
