People,
How in the heck does one find the doggone servers available for various
Newsgroups, so that they can be added into the News (NNTP) server window in
the internet connection wizard...to then check out the newsgroups available
(on that server)?
Or...am I going about this the wrong way? I am assuming I use the *Internet
Accounts* dialog, as opposed to the *Newsgroup Subscriptions*
dialog...'cause I've never been able to figure out how to search for
newsgroup servers in the latter.
There are quite a few useful newsgroups from Usenet, for example...which I'd
like to post to conveniently from my e-mail utility (Outlook Express)...(as
opposed to Google, on the web.
Need some help on this...
Thanks,
mark4man

Your ISP (Verizon) should have info available to you with that info if they
provide a news server to their customers. In the event they do not, see the
info at the below links for some added news servers:
Here are some sites that have info on free usenet servers:

http://www.newsservers.net/
http://freenews.maxbaud.net/

Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped.
Thanks.

The following is a news group server that you can use with Outlook.
Just put in the address. No user name or password required.
cp-news.centix.net
Then use "View" in Outlook to set the way you see post.

If you can't manage to hunt around Verizon's own help pages to get the
setup info for their NNTP server then just call their tech support.
