Tools>Options>Maintenance>Store folder will reveal the location
of your Outlook Express files. Press the Tab key to highlight the folder
location, then Ctrl+C. Close OE, then Start>Run>Ctrl+V will put the location
in the box - Click OK and you'll see the OE files. Otherwise, write the
location down and navigate to it in Windows Explorer.

In WindowsXP & 2K, the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default
marked as hidden. To view these files in Explorer, you must enable
Show Hidden Files and Folders under Start>Control Panel>Folder
Options>View.

Assuming you cannot get into your Outlook Express program to check where the
files are stored, you might try the following.
In Windows XP, the mail is typically stored in files that have the extension
DBX. For example, the file "Inbox.dbx" has all the mail in your INBOX.
Typically, these files are stored in the following folder sequence.
C:\Documents and Settings\[your user name]\Local Settings\Identities\{a long
string of numbers}\Microsoft\Outlook Express
[your user name] is typically your logon name, but could be almost anything
on some computer like HP.
{a long string of numbers} is a sequence assigned to your identity and there
may be more that one folder, each with a different string of numbers. you
will have to search
If you have not set your computer to see hidden folders, the "Local
settings" folder and all that follow will be hidden from any form of command
line search. You will have to issue a command like "attrib -h -r -s
c:\"documents and Settings"\[your user name]\"local settings". Note that
the " marks are required in command lines for folders that have spaces in
the name.
